Calcarb produces low density rigid thermal insulation for vacuum and controlled atmosphere furnaces. Based on Carbonized rayon fibers, vacuum molded boards and cylinders are all high fired to 2000 C, outgassed under vacuum and then machined and coated to customer's requirements. Coated and foiled products are all re-fired prior to shipment and can also be halogen purified to total ash level of <20ppm.
